BIM Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to support our Project Architects and BIM Manager in the role of BIM Coordinator. This role is responsible for assisting with project setup, consultant coordination, BIMxP management, model health and maintenance, standards compliance, and BIM submission support.

Responsibilities

  • Project Setup: Responsible for producing project information models, setting up central model, establishing shared Coordinates, linking consultant models, parameter maintenance
  • Consultant Coordination: Model exchange, scope modeling/graphics
  • Leading BIM meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues
  • Produce/Maintain BIMxP (if applicable): Document and Implement project requirements and deliverables. Consult BMG if needed.  Coordinate with BIM Manager.
  • Project Support: First point of contact for project BIM questions, custom family creation, Consult BIM Management Group if needed.
  • Model Maintenance: Audit, purge, review/resolve warnings, manage naming conventions, delete unused views, archive.
  • Enforce Standards: Guide team in implementation office/project BIM standards, flagging non-compliances
  • BIM submissions: ACC workflow for publishing, packaging, and sharing of models and documentation

Qualifications

  • The BIM Coordinator should demonstrate the following skillset, with a heavy emphasis on a desire to grow and expand these capabilities as the industry’s toolset and requirements continue to evolve:
    • 6-12 years of AEC industry experience
      • Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:
      • Communication, organizational and relationship-building skills
      • Highly organized and able to manage frequent deadlines
      • Ability and willingness to work on a variety of projects as needed
      • Initiative and problem-solving skills
      • Attention to detail
      • Solid leadership and teambuilding skills
      • Exceptional work ethic and enthusiastic attitude are imperative
    • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant BIM experience
      • Strong knowledge of Autodesk AEC Collection software, with a heavy emphasis on Revit and AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud tools and workflows
      • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple client responsibilities.
      • Strong interpersonal skills for support and training of team members.
      • Strong knowledge of and skillset for Revit family building best practices
      • Familiarity with various model health management techniques and issue resolution tools
      • Familiarity with the integration and use of various Revit Add-ons for visualization, efficiency and project management.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000
