Passenger Terminal Renovation
Westover Metropolitan Airport

FMA was the architect and project coordinator for the terminal renovation and improvement project at Westover Metropolitan Airport. The project, which remained fully operational throughout construction, involved a tight schedule that demanded a concise design and approvals effort, as well as a Chapter 149 public bid process. The design concept for the terminal entailed the use of color and light as a wayfinding tool so that passengers arriving at the terminal would be directed by subtle ceiling changes and bright areas of color directing movement. The program includes the ticketing lobby, departures lounge, baggage claim, car rental, pilot’s lounge and security/information booth.
