NNEPRA Wells Station

The proposed project for the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (NNEPRA) includes the addition of a second platform at Wells Station to improve operational flexibility, mitigate the potential for schedule delays, and allow for the operation of a sixth round-trip for the Amtrak Downeaster service. Cross-laminated-timber (CLT) construction was chosen to highlight the nature of the station’s surroundings.

Services provided: design, and code compliance for preliminary design recommendations for the configuration, appearance, materials, building code, ADA, emergency egress and other applicable code requirements for the proposed second station platform.
