The Saratoga County Airport Is Off to the Races!

On June 26, the New York State Department of Transportation celebrated the opening of the Saratoga County Airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the new atrium.
Our team was proud to serve as architects for the new terminal building and adjacent 20,000 square foot hangar. The terminal includes a restaurant, passenger waiting area, and many design features paying tribute to Saratoga’s horse racing heritage, local architecture and culture. The building includes a 194 kW solar array and 24 geothermal wells supplying electricity, heating and cooling to the building.
Governor Kathy Hochul said, “Regional airports like Saratoga County are catalysts for business, tourism and economic vibrance—injecting millions into local economies and building the foundations of a brighter future. Saratoga is a crown jewel of our state, and whether you’re off to the races, traveling for business or coming home to New York, this world class facility will welcome you with open arms.”
State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez said, “It [Saratoga County] has world class attractions in the form of business, tourism, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent here in the local economy every year. And today’s celebration, what we’re doing is adding to that world-class reputation by officially opening this absolutely stunning new gateway to this area.”
