Improving the Journey at Bradley International Airport
Bradley International Airport marks a major milestone with the completion of several projects comprising the expansion of Terminal A, officially unveiled during last week’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
FM lead the Vertical Circulation Expansion project featuring three major areas of renovation and expansion. Two new vertical transportation hubs, including escalators and elevators, provide clearly defined circulation for arriving passengers and relieve congestion for departing passengers at the central checkpoint.
Embracing the airport’s Love the Journey spirit, FM incorporated a color palette that honors the natural history of Connecticut, rich with canals, hiking trails, and parks. Nature-inspired finishes provide wayfinding and contribute to CAA’s commitment to a positive passenger experience.
Together, these improvements increase capacity, improve comfort, and position Bradley International Airport to better serve travelers for decades to come — supporting continued growth for the region and the communities it connects.
